Anxiety can be Tricky

Anxiety can be tricky.

Fear is a biological reaction to real or perceived danger. Fear is a necessary function of survival.

Fear becomes anxiety when our minds latch on to the false belief that our hyper vigilance will help us avoid pain all together.

The problem with this goal is that we know it’s unattainable. No one can avoid pain completely, nor should we. Instead we must embrace pain as an equally important function of survival.

Pain is the catalyst for pain; it is the foundation of growth. Pain encourages us to thoughtfully consider our choices, attitudes, behaviors and relationships.

On the other side of pain we find relief, peace, evolution and rebirth. Your happiness lies just beyond the pain your avoiding.
