Rafaela Buenaventura

Therapist

I believe in viewing each individual within the context of their environment and utilize this approach as a means to decrease the stigma and labels of mental health. Going through my own life experiences, it has become my mission to create a place of safety in which others can be seen, heal, and grow. I work specifically with individuals who are struggling to cope and desire to deepen their understanding of their past and current experiences. And in doing so, are able to reclaim their confidence and inherent strengths to lead their most fulfilling life with a sense of empowerment and authenticity."

Chad Jeffers

Therapist

Hello, I’m Chad Jeffers.  I’m originally from Ohio but have lived in Fort Lauderdale for the last 10 years.  I graduated from Kent State University and then volunteered in the Peace Corps  as a consultant for NGO’s.  Upon my return, I enrolled at NOVA Southeastern University.  I worked in construction while studying and eventually became responsible for the financing and management of large projects.   After realizing I wanted a change, I took the opportunity to fulfill my goal of becoming a licensed counselor and am now a therapist at RSL Counseling.  I am married to my wonderful husband of 6 years, who shares my passion for animals and water.  I can normally be found with my dogs or tending to my aquarium.  I enjoy boating and spending time on the water with friends and family.  I like to read and to listen to new music.  My hobbies include watch repair, painting, and bonsai trees to name a few.  For my self-care, I exercise regularly and eat a balanced diet.  I look forward to getting to know you better and working together.

Chris Brown

Therapist

Chris' approach to therapy is based on interpersonal neurobiology, which encompasses the understanding that human development and functioning are a direct result of the connection between the mind, the body, and relationships. He is person-centered and is aware that individuals are the experts in their own experience and believes that individuals will change when they feel safe enough to do so. He believes that cultivating and creating a safe, nurturing, and non-judgemental environment is essential to connection and facilitating the therapeutic process.
